Privacy notice
This explains what information is handled when you use Fitness Instructor Insurance Checker or email us. In short: there is no account, we never ask who you are, and the answers you give the tool stay in your browser.
Who we are
Fitness Instructor Insurance Checker is operated by Ninayra Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC858454, registered office: Office 2/3, 48 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1BP. Ninayra Ltd is the data controller for this site.
You can contact us about anything on this page at [email protected].
Your answers to the tool
The questions about how you work — whether you are employed or self-employed, where you teach, who your clients are and the rest — are answered entirely inside your browser. Your answers are held in the page’s memory while you work through it, are never sent to us or anyone else, and are not saved anywhere. Reload the page and they are gone. We could not tell you what any individual answered, because we never receive it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — no local storage, no session storage, no device fingerprinting. That is why you see no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask you to agree to.
When you visit the site
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, delivering a page means your browser’s request, including your IP address, passes through Cloudflare’s servers. We do not see or keep visitors’ IP addresses ourselves.
Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load, so we know which parts of the tool people use and can keep it working. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors, and does not fingerprint or follow individuals across websites. We only ever see totals — page views per page, visits by country — never individual visitors. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we need to know whether the tool is being used and working. If you would rather not be counted, a content blocker that blocks static.cloudflareinsights.com stops it, and the site works normally without it.
Fonts. The site’s typefaces are served from this site, so loading a page doesn’t contact any font provider. Until 16 October 2026 they came from Google Fonts, which meant every page view sent your IP address to Google; we host the files ourselves now, so that no longer happens.
Links to insurance providers
The site is intended to be funded by affiliate referrals, and our affiliate disclosure explains what that does and does not change about the results you see. As things stand, the “get a quote” button is not yet wired to a provider, so following it does not take you anywhere or pass anything about you to anyone.
When a real referral link does go in, it will run through an affiliate network, and that network and the provider will use their own cookies or identifiers — set on their own websites, once you have left ours — to credit the referral. We will never pass them your answers to the tool or any other personal details, only the fact that the click came from this site. We will update this notice to name them at the same time as the link goes live, not afterwards.
The results page names insurers as plain text rather than linking to them, and links out only to official and neutral sources: the Health and Safety Executive, GOV.UK and CIMSPA. Those are ordinary links — nothing about you is passed along, and each site has its own privacy notice.
When you email us
If you email us — to ask a question, report something that looks wrong, or register interest in the insurance pack — we receive your email address, any name attached to it and your message. We use them to reply and to deal with what you have raised, and nothing else. We do not add you to a marketing list. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: answering someone who has chosen to contact us. Email to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare and held in a mailbox provided by Google. We delete correspondence within 12 months of our last contact with you.
Who else handles your information
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the services that run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting, visitor statistics and email forwarding) and Google (the mailbox our email is delivered to). Both may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
Your rights
Where we hold personal information about you — in practice, that means email correspondence — you can ask us to give you a copy of it, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also object to us using it. Email [email protected] and we will do it. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to explain why.
Nothing on this site makes an automated decision about you, and we do not profile visitors. The tool’s results come from published UK rules and governing-body guidance applied to the answers you type in, in your own browser.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You do not have to come to us first, though we would rather have the chance to put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change what the site does with information — add a form, change analytics, or wire up an affiliate provider — we update this page in the same change, not afterwards. The date below is when it was last reviewed.
